Barnet hit six of the best as they batter Dover - Barnet 6-0 Dover Athletic

Barnet faced bottom of the league Dover Athletic at the Hive Stadium. Dover have been dire lately and are almost certainly going down. Barnet have been poor lately too and were expecting a win but nothing too special.

The game began and Barnet scored in the first 5 minutes following a lot of pressure from a great Barnet start. Adam Marriott plays the ball to Reece Grego-Cox who took a few touches and curled it into the top left corner to give Barnet a 1-0 lead. They should have had more before half time with lots of chances coming and going. Dover showed nothing going forwards and somehow the Barnet only went in 1-0 up. It didn't take long for Barnet to get a second in the second as Adam Marriott headed in. A lovely ball was swung in by Rob Hall and a flick on header went to Adam Marriott who scored. It was soon 3-0 after Adam Marriott doubled his tally within a few minutes after great save from the Dover goalkeeper who saved it on to the post and Adam Marriott got the rebound to put Barnet 3-0 up. About a minute later they won a penalty. Ephron Mason Clark took the penalty and it was saved by the goalkeeper. It was 4-0 ten minutes later when Reiss Greenidge scored after a flick on from Richards Everton after a corner. It was 5-0 when Grego-Cox headed in from Sam Beard in a goal which only added insult to injury with 4 minutes to go. Sam Woods grabbed a sixth from edge of the box and he fired it into the bottom left corner. The game finished Barnet 6-0 Dover Athletic.

Barnet move up to 15th with their biggest win of the season. They leapfrogged Maidenhea, Altrincham, Woking and Wealdstone. Dover remain 23rd and 35 points off of safety and looking destined for the National League South.
